The Letter

You won't believe what happened to me today! My darling Macbeth shared some wonderful news about a peculiar meeting with three weird sisters. After a victorious win in the battle against the Norwegian forces, he was approached by 3 withered hags who told him about a very pleasant future that lay ahead of him. They said he would become Thane of Cawdor and King! Which would make me rise to queen!

Of course Macbeth thought they were talking nonsense at first, but he soon after came across the King's messenger Ross. He explained that the Thane of Cawdor, Macdonald, was soon to be executed for treason. Therefore, due to Macbeth bravery in the battle, he was offered the position! That meant that one of the witches predictions had come true! Giving me more hope that I would become queen.

Tonight we are hosting a party to celebrate the success we received at the battle. King Duncan will also be coming, so that's when we will strike. However, I still haven't convinced Macbeth to kill the king. He is too much of coward to do this. First I'll have to persuade him, then the throne will be ours!

My strange encountering

Can you imagine what happened to me today? Well I guess not, because it was more peculiar than ever! This is how it happened:

As huge grins spread across our faces, it was declared that Scotland had won the war against the vicious, invading Norweigen forces. Victory was upon us and it felt better than ever! Therefore, me and Banquo headed for King Duncan's camp to celebrate.

As we trudged wearily across the body littered battlefield, hoping to arrive at the party as soon as possible, three grotesque creatures stood before us barring our way. Their wild manes and ragged robes flew vigourisly in the wind. The three silhouetted figures approached Banquo and I. Then pointing their long, gnarled fingers, they chanted in unison, "All hail, Macbeth, Thane of Glamis! All hail, Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor! All hail, Macbeth, who shall be king!" Confused, perplexed, yet intrigued, I wanted to find out more. "Speak more you withered hags," I responded as I pointed my sword in their direction. Suddenly, before my eyes, the three weird figures evaporated into the swirling mist like breath on a mirror.

"How can I be Thane of Cawdor?" I asked. "He is alive and well and one of Duncan's most trusted friends! And as for King ... they were mad women!"

Unexpectedly out of the mist, the Kings messenger Ross appeared. Delighted with my victory, Ross said, "Greetings soilders, the King wants to hounor you the position of Thane of Cawdor due to your success and bravery during the battle." It took a minute before the news sunk in. The first of the witches predictions had came true! "But there's already a Thane of Cawdor," I responded.

"Not for much longer; he's being executed for treason."

I froze in shock. Maybe the witches weren't actually crazy? Maybe they was speaking the truth? Questions and thoughts filled my body as we headed back to King Duncan's camp.

This was a very hectic and strange day, I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Friendship & Anti-Bullying Weeks

Many congratulations to all from Year 4 who worked so hard over the past few days to put together a great assembly. I think the message was very clear and you should all feel very proud of what you achieved. Well done.

Holy Communion

Congratulations to all of Year 4! Your Confirmation and Holy Communion mass yesterday was so special. You did yourselves and your families so proud. The responses were clear, the readings were great and the singing was spectacular. And for Fr Barry to finish with such a compliment just brought the mass to a perfect end.

Both Mrs Sutton and myself would like to say thank you and well done for all the hard work you put in to make sure that the day ran as well as it did. You should all feel extremely proud.

Final League Game

Today the school football team played their final league match of the season. A great performance resulted in beating Linacre 7-0. The team played some wonderful football, passing the ball well and using the full width of the pitch. Daniel and Lucas both scored with the other five being added by Kieron.

A great result lads and a superb performance. Well done.
